Plot

Rahul (Khan) is a talented and passionate choreographer who does not believe in love. He announces his desire to direct a new musical named Maya, based on his vision of an ideal woman who believes in true love and waits for her prince charming. He selects Nisha (Kapoor), his best friend and lead dancer, to play the role of Maya. However, Nisha secretly loves Rahul and hopes that he will reciprocate her feelings someday.

Pooja (Dixit) is a beautiful and graceful dancer who loves dancing more than anything else. She was orphaned at a young age and raised by close friends of her parents. She is engaged to Ajay (Kumar), a wealthy businessman who loves her dearly but does not share her passion for dancing. Pooja joins Rahul's troupe as a new entrant and impresses him with her dancing skills. He decides to cast her as Maya, much to Nisha's dismay.

Rahul and Pooja develop a close friendship and start spending time together. They realize that they have a lot in common and share a mutual attraction. However, they are unaware of each other's personal lives and commitments. Nisha becomes jealous and insecure of Pooja's presence and tries to sabotage their relationship. Ajay also senses that Pooja is drifting away from him and decides to surprise her by visiting her in Germany, where the troupe is performing.

On the day of the final show, Nisha injures her leg in an accident and is unable to perform as Maya. Rahul asks Pooja to take her place, but she refuses as she has to leave for India with Ajay. Rahul is heartbroken and decides to cancel the show. However, Pooja changes her mind at the last moment and returns to perform as Maya. She confesses her love for Rahul on stage, leaving him speechless. Ajay witnesses this and realizes that Pooja loves Rahul more than him. He gracefully accepts their relationship and wishes them happiness.

The film ends with Rahul and Pooja embracing each other as Nisha looks on with a smile.
