According to Lobb, Microsoft plans to continue releasing season packs of characters throughout the lifespan of Xbox One. Killer Instinct will be available as a free download at Xbox One's launch. The game will feature a rotating roster of free characters.

Killer Instinct was released as a launch title for the Xbox One with all players able to download the game for free. Although technically "free," players had to pay to purchase additional characters. Only Jago was originally playable for no cost, though players could purchase the Combo Break pack or Ultra Edition to unlock all characters. The character rotation will seemingly give players a chance to test out other characters. Replacing Jago will be Sabrwulf.

As soon as you hook up your console you are able to download the free version of Killer Instinct, which includes all single player and online modes, including training. Jago is the initial free character, but there are plans to rotate Jago out with other characters in the future. Individual characters can be purchased as an option for $4.99 each.

I have three very simple questions. 1) What happened to the Patriots killer instinct? They used to be tough! Now the team has only two tough guys on it: Wilfork and Mankins. Brady is intense, talented and driven, but no longer possesses the killer instinct. Most of the other guys have professional attitudes, but not killer instincts. They quit in the second half of the AFC Championship last year. If they can't get it back, they'll never go to, or win, another SB. 2) Do any of the young guys possess a killer instinct? And 3) Do you think BB was a better defensive minded coach when he ran a 3-4 defense? I ask because I don't see us going back to that for some time. J.P. Galasso

Complete NCAA Tourney Coverage Send A PostcardBy ARNIE STAPLETONAP Sports WriterMINNEAPOLIS (AP) - No time like the postseason for Terence Morris to live upto preseason expectations."Right now, it's just time to play," Morris said with a shrug afterleading third-seeded Maryland past upstart Iona 74-59 on Thursday night in theMidwest Regional. The junior forward who had a rocky regular season after being tagged as thefavorite for ACC player of the year honors had 22 points and 12 rebounds as theTerrapins (25-9) ran all over the 14th-seeded Gaels (20-11)."Instead of coming out like Cinderella, we came out like Tinkerbell," saidIona coach Jeff Ruland, whose team fell behind 23-4 and never really recovered.Morris, who came on strong toward season's end and played well in the ACCtournament, had 14 points and 10 rebounds by halftime, when the Terps led38-25."My team just fed off me in the first half," Morris said. "I just wantedto set an example for the guys."Off-guard Juan Dixon, who added 20 points, said the Terps relied on Morris, the only upperclassmen in their starting lineup."We just knew we had to get him the ball. That's our All-American. Itstarts with him and goes on down the line," Dixon said. The Terps' lead was 60-32 midway through the second half when the Gaels madeit respectable behind Tariq Kirksay, the player of the year in the MetroAtlantic Athletic Conference who scored 20 of his 24 points after halftime."We were in awe of them a little bit in the first half," Kirksay said."They did a great job of stopping me."Not in the second half they didn't.The Gaels pulled within 12 points on Kirksay's 3-pointer just inside thetwo-minute mark but that was as close as they'd get."We didn't finish them off," Morris said, but Terrapins coach GaryWilliams understood why"I think there's a tendency when you're young, you don't have that killerinstinct," Williams said. "I think that after 30 minutes we kind of stoppedplaying."The Terrapins, who lost four starters from last season's 28-6 team, including point guard Steve Francis to the NBA, got even younger when sophomoresmall forward Danny Miller sat out with a sprained left ankle.Miller was hurt in the final of the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament, and his injury forced Williams to rely heavily on freshmen Tahj Holden in biglineups and Drew Nicholas in three-guard sets. With freshman point guard Steve Blake running the Terps' fast-paced offense,Maryland jumped out to a 23-4 lead before the Gaels knew what had hit them.Blake was penetrating at will and kicking the ball outside to Dixon orfinding bulky center Lonny Baxter (12 points, 11 rebounds) underneath thebasket.Baxter, Holden and Morris were too much for the Gaels."Those three guys, they're difficult to stop all at once," Williams said.Kirksay gave Iona a 2-0 lead, then scored just one more basket the rest ofthe half. His five baskets keyed a 14-2 run that pulled the Gaels to 62-46 withfour minutes left.Ruland said his strategy for the game was to "start off with a goodprayer."But, thanks to Morris, the Gaels didn't have much of one Thursday night.Print Friendly Version var obj = "start":0,"count":10,"name":"story-template-boilerplate","sport_id":null,"count_breakpoints":null,"css_class":"","pinned_id":"","extra":,"context":null,"dummy":false,"type":"ads","id":"26baf2fe-db71-4370-9d07-49b7f0bc3277","data":"location":"id":0,"title":null,"type":null,"effect":null,"fixed_image_sizes":false,"excluded_sport_ids":null,"slick":false,"dfp":false,"sidearm_dfp":false,"common_page":false,"html_template":null,"name":null,"autoplay_speed":0,"accessibility_icons":false,"sizes":null,"slick_options":null,"dfp_sizes":null,"campaigns":[],"content_id":null,"content_title":null,"content_date":null,"content_url":null,"content_image_url":null,"mode":"web"; if (!("sidearmComponents" in window)) window.sidearmComponents = []; window.sidearmComponents.push(obj); Related Story Content var obj = "start":0,"count":10,"name":"story-template-general-1-1","sport_id":null,"count_breakpoints":null,"css_class":"","pinned_id":"","extra":,"context":null,"dummy":false,"type":"ads","id":"b3cbfad3-2d8a-4363-9e2f-972244e5e28c","data":"location":"id":0,"title":null,"type":null,"effect":null,"fixed_image_sizes":false,"excluded_sport_ids":null,"slick":false,"dfp":false,"sidearm_dfp":false,"common_page":false,"html_template":null,"name":null,"autoplay_speed":0,"accessibility_icons":false,"sizes":null,"slick_options":null,"dfp_sizes":null,"campaigns":[],"content_id":null,"content_title":null,"content_date":null,"content_url":null,"content_image_url":null,"mode":"web"; if (!("sidearmComponents" in window)) window.sidearmComponents = []; window.sidearmComponents.push(obj); Story Links Related Videos Now Playing: Play Video 041b061a72
