The war between two sects might sucessfully be avoided, but Bai Xiaochun then faced a personal war between his two girls: Song Junwan and Hou Xiaomei. Could not take it anymore, he then went to accept a mission in war with Profound Sect. Though concerning to his importance, patriarchs only gave him an easy safe mission: sweeping late Profound Sect's posts/cities which has already been fallen. He's leading a couple hundreds mixed cultivators to become a solid respectable troop, using his failed concoction medicines as weird bombs, saving Xu Xiaoshan along the way to the front. He also managed to save a badly injured Xuemei in the critical time (at the time, he still taught that she actually is Du Lingfei).
